Fall Class Schedule

I am finally posting the Fall Schedule of Classes. I hope you can find something here that you would be interested in taking.  One For the Money .......................$35* Cheryl Lewis - 1 class -Advanced Beginner This versatile purse will be a favorite for the girl on the go. This bag is just the right size for so many things. It is perfect for an e-reader or iPad mini, or put in your wallet and cell phone and you are out the door. Candy Stiffler • 3 Classes •  Beginner We will start you on your journey into the joys of quilting! You will learn the correct rotary cutting, piecemaking, basic machine quilting, and binding techniques to make your first quilt. This class is designed for those who want to learn to quilt or for those who want to refresh their basic quilting skills by completing a small quilt. There will be homework between classes in order to complete this quilt. Pattern is included in class fee. Tuesday, September 30, October 7 & 14........... 6pm – 9pm Santa.................................................$35* Loris Nebbia - 1 class -Advanced Beginner Loris was with us for a demo at our Christmas in July and all those attending wanted the class. So, Loris will be teaching her Santa here at Quilt Vine. The background is a traditional Drunkard's Path with curved piecing and the birds are fusible machine applique. We got this Teddy Bear pattern and technique from Alice Kish. Chris has made one for every child she knows and can't seem to stop. Pattern included in class fee Saturday,  October 25.................9am - 3pm Log Cabin....................................$40 Candy Stiffler - 1 class - Advanced Beginner  Use up your scraps for this one! This is the traditional Scrappy Log Cabin using any size scraps you have on hand. If you don't have scraps then you can use a jelly roll. This is a very quick and easy quilt with stunning effects! There are so many ways to lay out a log cabin quilt. Candy will help you decide on size and layout. You end up with intricate detail with very little piecing. All you need are 2 Layer Cakes (10" squares) and borders are optional. From just 2 Layer Cakes and borders you can make 2 Throw size quilts or 1 Queen size. Pattern included with class fee Saturday,  September 27..............9am - 3pm

Christmas in July

This past week we celebrated "Christmas in July," with a sale on everything Christmas.

"Snow Day" by Wilmington Prints.

We have this quilt kitted.

This popular pattern, "Holiday Lights," by Alex Anderson has been updated and re-released.
We kitted it in the fabrics shown here.
We are presently out of kits but we will by making more.

Loris Nebbia, the author of the popular book, Solomon's Puzzle was with us on Saturday.

Loris demoed her Santa and Helper.

We are looking into having Loris back in the Fall to teach a Santa class.

On Saturday we had a demo on how to make this scrappy garland.

The fabric in this quilt is "Holiday Cheer" by Henry Glass. 

We have this kitted in this blue color way and the red color way.

This fabric is "Warm Wishes" by Red Rooster Fabrics. 

We have this quilt kitted.

These stockings are a great way to highlight our new ball fringe and new larger rick rack.

A Quilt Vine SEW IN - NO SHOES REQUIRED!

Grab your sewing friends and join us as we stitch into the night. Wear your comfy clothes and we'll provide the perfect setting for getting some projects done. Quilt Vine will provide snack and  dinner and lots of coffee to keep you going. 10AM-10PM................$30

Tell your friends. What could be better than sewing all day away from the distractions at home at no cost to you. Work on your own projects. The Quilt Vine Staff is present to help out if needed. Call ahead to reserve your seat.

Class Policy

Basic Class Supplies Needed

* Sewing Machine, foot and all electrical cords. (Make sure it is working prior to arrival.)

Please know how to use your machine. We do not have time to take away from other students to help you with a machine you do not know how to use!

* Quality sewing thread

* Medium size cutting mat & rotary cutter

* Small scissors for clipping threads, cutting paper, etc.

* Favorite ruler for cutting strips (other rulers may be listed on the supply list)

* Pins, seam ripper, etc.

Other Supplies

* All class attendees must have a legal copy of the class pattern/book to participate.

*A class supply list will be supplied to you at time of class enrollment.

Class Fee

* The Class Fee must be collected when you sign up for the class to guarantee your seat. Each fee is listed next to the class listing.

Cancellation

* If you cannot attend a class for which you have registered, you must let us know 7 days prior to class time to receive a store credit.

* If you cancel after the 7-day time allowance there will be no refund.

* If you sign up within 7 days of class, the above policies still apply.

* A minimum of 3 students is required for class. If this requirement is not met, usually the class will be cancelled and you will be refunded your class fee.

* Quilt Vine reserves the right to cancel classes for any reason. If this happens, you will be refunded your class fee and/or supplies, excluding fabric.

Class Time

*All class participants are asked to turn off cell phones (or place them on vibrate). If a call is necessary, please leave the room to complete the call.

* Please do not bring children or pets to class.

* Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to class time. Class will begin promptly on time.
