Eden

As with all of Tula Pink's lines of fabric, we were anxiously awaiting the arrival of Eden, her most recent line.

As soon as it got in the door I grabbed my camera to send a picture to our Tula Pink Groupies.

We received 10 bolts from this line.

Here is a close up of 3 of them.
(These are my 3 favorites)

Each time we get new Tula Pink fabric I have to have a sample made.
Usually we sell our sample quilts when we are finished with them, but not the Tula quilts.
I have a quilt from each line of Tula Pink fabric since we opened.

So the dilemma was, what should we make.
When I saw "Simply Eden", the free download from Free Spirit, I knew immediately that was the quilt.

Lou makes a lot of our sample quilts, but I wanted to make this one.
The quilt in the pattern used 18 different fabrics. Since we only got 10 that is what I used. So, instead of being a Queen Sized Quilt, mine is a Throw.

To begin with I needed a Fat Quarter each of 10 different fabrics and some background.

Work in progress: a lot of half square triangles.

The first block done.

The top all put together.

A close up of some of the blocks and the quilting.

Bound and finished!

I love this fabric and this pattern was an excellent choice to use it in.

This pattern is a free download and you can get it here.

Show--n-Tell

I just love it when our friends bring in their finished projects to share with us.

This is Ester's block from the book  "Best Ever Applique Sampler" by Piece O Cake.

Colette had to join in  the fun and make an Elephant Quilt.

Ellen, a relative of Colette's, was visiting from Ireland. Colette just had to get her quilting. Here is her Elephant quilt. She must have used what Colette had leftover. Notice that her Elephant is a little different from Colette's, it has a heart.

Lucille's Log Cabin Quilt.
See all of those beautiful Kaffe Fassett fabrics that she got at Quilt Vine.

Marlyne's Tiny Treasures.

 Maylyne's place mats

Many of you may recognize this pattern used here. Chris originally made Chris' Fishes' with this pattern. Chris also taught it as a class here. So we have seen many many quilts  made with this pattern. Well, here is the latest one. Mary made this one with the  Snow Day Fabric.

Lynn's Dot Party Quilt that she made in class here.

Another Lola quilt by Mary.
I love how she used "Sweet Lady Jane" by Jane Sassaman.

 Charlotte's Heart to Heart Quilt.
