Log Cabin Stars

This large quilt belongs to Mary.

I am love, love, lovin this quilt!

Many times when I take a quilt off of the longarm and hang it to take its picture I am in awe of how good it looks. It is really good to get a different perspective on it.

This is especially true with a large quilt like this one. I think that by the time I am  nearing the end I am getting tired of looking at it. Yes, I do love variety! Anyway, when I stepped back to look at this quilt after I hung it I said, "Oh My Gosh!" out loud.

What a beautiful quilt. Love log cabins anyway! The quilting is beautiful too. Do your clients tell you how they want it quilted or do they trust you with being creative? Again, beautiful.

Just saw this quilt and was blown away! Everything works together, the Star Logcabin block and the Feather wreath quilting. Love it.

Good Morning!

I found the link to this quilt on Pinterest & I just HAD to comment...your work & that of Mary, together have created a SPECTACULAR quilt!
I'm not usually fond of brown but this beautiful combination is quickly changing my mind.

You are VERY talented! This is my first visit to your blog but certainly not my last.
I'm going to get a second cup of tea & wander around some of your other posts.
Thanks for sharing this fabulous quilt.

fondly,
Rett

I am also looking to buy this pattern and the instructions. I can't figure out how the diamonds sewn to the end of the sashing strips go together.

I finally found exactly where this pattern came from. It is an out-of-print Quilt In A Day Book titled, "Star Log Cabin Quilt." I found that you can order it from a 3rd party seller through Amazon.

This is not the same star that is in the Quilt in a Day book. I have that book and it's definately not the same. This is a different star. Has anyone found this pattern?

You positively put a brand new spin on a topic thats been written about for years. Great stuff, simply great! online casino games

When looking at the star. Draw a line vertically down the center and horizontally across the center and you get the corners of 4 blocks. I hope that makes sense.
