"Cabin in the Woods"

Or maybe it is "Bear in the Woods" or "Moose in the Woods."

But, whatever it is, it is cute and cozy.

This quilt was made by Lucille.

Stash Report, Week 39, 2011

Used since last Stash Report: 1.75 yards
Used Year to Date: 104.5
Added since last Stash Report: 3.5
Added Year to Date: 95.25

Net used for 2011: 9.25

I just had to purchase fabric this week. Remember I told you about my September UFO here. In order to make it larger I needed fabric for borders. I had no left over fabric that I could even piece for borders because when I made my circle quilt I used what was left on the back. I bought enough solid red to also use as an inner border on my Trash to Treasure Pineapple.

I got these 16 blocks finished and put together on Saturday. I will probably use the red for an inner border and the Jane Sassaman print will be the outer border.

Trash to Treasure Pineapple

On Saturday some of us worked on our
This is Lou's stack of working blocks.

Lou's first block done.

This is Cheryl's stack of working blocks.
Cheryl and Lou are using the same fabrics.

Cheryl's first block done.

Margaret and I are using scraps.
Here are Margaret's first 4 blocks.

I have 16 blocks done and that is all I am doing.
Now, on to the borders!

Country Baskets

Isn't this quilt just adorable?

It belongs to Pat M.

I think she did a great job choosing fabrics to go with the embroidery.
Love that border!

Here is another one from that class.

7-Sisters Fabric Exchange Quilt

I got my 7-Sisters fabric exchange quilt quilted this week.

I am getting better at finishing quilts as I go. I am really trying not to add to my list of UFOs.

September UFO

This is my quilt that was chosen for the UFO Challenge for September. It is a baby quilt that would just need to be quilted and bound, but I am thinking about making it larger. There is someone in my life who deserves a quilt and I think she would love the red and aqua. Now the challenge will be to find the right fabrics to border it. I don't need to have it right now but would like to have it by Christmas. So, if I don't get fabric for it real soon I will do something else on my UFO list for September.

Joseph's Coat

I am making another Joseph's Coat.

It is going to be green on a white background.

Most of these greens I got at Quiltworks Northwest in Bellevue, WA when I was on vacation.

It takes a lot of time to prepare all of the petals.

Arden's Quilt

Arden made this Wedding Quilt in Colette's class. Her choice of fabric really works wonderfully for this quilt.

Feathers are quilted in the borders.  The center of this large quilt is quilted with a pantogram.

I quilted large heart feather wreaths in the corners.

Cabin Time

Hubby, daughter, her friend,  and I went to visit my parents this weekend. We went to their cabin in Perry County, PA.

It was a beautiful weekend and we had a quiet relaxing time.

I guess now it is time to really get down to business as we head into fall.

#11 was drawn by Judy for the UFO for September. My #11 is this baby quilt that just needs quilted. I shouldn't have any problem getting it done this month.

3D Flower Wall Hanging

This is Ruth's wall hanging. She started to quilt it by hand, but decided to have me finish it.

You can see the diamonds on the background that had been hand quilted.
