Christmas Quilt

Since I am new to this, I thought I would post some of the quilts I have done in the past. I finished this quilt in December 2009. It was from a magazine pattern.
The Pattern is "Spruce It Up" and it was in "Quilts nd More / Winter 2006."

I have signed up for The 2010 UFO Quilt Challenge. If you don't already know about it the link is to the left. Maybe this will keep me on track with getting my own stuff done.

Joan's quilt

Yesterday I did not quilt as much as I should have. There was no school, so in the morning I watched my friend's granddaughter. I started this customer's giant king-sized quilt after lunch.
In the afternoon I watched a movie with my daughter. I worked on the embroidery on this block during the movie. It is from The Quilt Show BOM 2008. It is one of my UFO's to get done this year.
I am home alone today, so I should get a lot of quilting done.

My Amy Butler

I am determined to finish at least one of my quilts each month this year. I quilted this yesterday. All I need to do now is bind it, and I already have the binding ready.

I have loved Amy Butler fabrics for some time, but I had trouble deciding on which of her fabrics to use. So, I decided I needed to make a scrappy quilt using many of her fabrics. I settled on a large diamond to highlight the prints. The length of the diamond point-to-point measures 15 inches. Overall the quilt is 56" x 84". I decided not to custom quilt in each diamond because I did not want to detract from the prints, so I quilted an allover feather in the center.

First Post

I discovered "Quilter Blogs" a few weeks ago and I have been thinking I should do that. I have a longarm quilting business. Quilting is my passion and fabric my addiction.

The quilt on my header was a gift I made for my son's girlfriend for Christmas. The pattern is from McCall's Quilting Magazine August 2009.
