I Believe

I am finishing up a Bible study on the book of Esther by Beth Moore. Wow! This has been one great study. I want to be like Esther; to face my worst fear and resolve that "if I perish, I perish," and to know that I might be exactly where God wants me "for such a time as this." On the last day of the lessons Beth included these words that were found etched on a prison wall in a Nazi concentration camp:

I believe in the sun, even when it is not shining.
I believe in love, even when I do not feel it.
I believe in God, even when He is silent.

Esther is one of my favorite books in the Bible. She truly demonstrates what it is to be a woman of courage, a woman of God. There have been so many times in my life, in looking back, where God brought me through something that would enable me to help someone later, down the road, "for such a time as this." I will look for the Beth Moore book as I would really love to do an in-depth study on the book of Esther.
