50th Birthday Party

It is hard to believe that I recently celebrated my 50th birthday. I have never in my life had a birthday party and I decided it was time to celebrate. My friends from the 7-Sisters Quilt Guild helped me pull it off. The party was at the firehouse where we quilt every Friday night. Everything was decorated in orange and lime green. The flowers were done by Shirley of Seasonal Flowers (She is in the 7-Sisters Guild).

Jo and Richard brought their car for a photo op. This car and I were born the same year.

Karli (Lou's grand-daughter) brought me a crown. I was queen for the evening.

I hired the best DJ in the area (Steve Moody) so we could dance the night away. Here I am dancing with all 3 of my kids.

The cake was fantastic. It was 2 layers with filling, half chocolate ganosh and half coconut creme.

Here my husband and I are playing a version of the Newly Wed Game. We agreed on a lot of our answers, but the ones where we disagreed I am sorry to say he was wrong. (Just kidding)

There were about 80 people at the party. Of course a lot of them were quilters and their husbands. One of my sons took pictures and I was trying to wait to get those before I posted. Who knows when I will get them.

Today I will be spending the day setting up for the Bayside Quilters first Quilt Show.
