Quilt Vine - Creative Sewing Center and Gift Shop

On March 13 I posted about a  Major Project that I was working on. I told you that I would keep you filled in as it moved along. Well, I am ready to reveal the project.

I am opening a Quilt Shop!!!!!!!!! I still have a long way to go. I hope to be opened by September 1.

The shop will be called "Quilt Vine" and will be located in this beautiful Victorian house on Main Street in Trappe, Maryland.

Here are Dave and Lou helping to bring in the shelving.

I purchased this shelving from a shop that was going out of business.

The blue tape indicates where the cutting table and check out will be.

This is in the original Dining Room looking into the Sun Porch.

The Sun Porch has way too many windows for fabric so it is going to be the coffee area.

Today Chris and I spent the entire day with a Sales Rep purchasing fabric.

Wow! It was really quite over-whelmimg!!!! We had fabric samples spread out everywhere.

It is hard for me to believe that this is really going to happen.

What a beautiful setting for a quilt shop. All those rooms for all that fabric. I can't imagine anything more fun that picking out all that fabric, except maybe using it.

Good luck! I pray that everything goes smoothly for you, especially as you're getting everything started.

Wow, congratulations and may you be very successful in this venture. I love, love, love the building! I can only imagine what it would be like to choose all the fabrics to fill a quilt shop...overwhelming is putting it mildly I think. Best wishes.
