Hand Quilting Bee

The Hand Quilting Bee of The Bayside Quilters of the Eastern Shore met at Quilt Vine on Wednesday.

 They usually meet at members houses. Barbara was the hostess this month and she chose to have the bee meet here. Thank you Barbara. This Bee started out very small but they are growing. They now have about 10 members. It is fun to see a resurgence in hand quilting.

 Cindy is the leader of the gang, teaching those that have not hand quilted before. Joan has done a lot of hand work, but she is a newbie to hand quilting.

 Chris and Marianne are busy quilting away.

 Ester is hard at it while Mary Lou is marking her lines.

It is so fun to have Bees meeting at the shop. Your small group is welcome to meet here any day we do not have a class.

Piecemakers

Joyce and two of her friends were very happy with this quilt when they picked it up.

It is a raffle quilt for Piecemaker's Quilt Guild in Delaware.

I just love all of those yo-yos. It makes me want to go make some.

Show-n-Tell from Modern Quilt Guild Eastern Shore

I mentioned on a blog post earlier this week that I was behind in posting. The Modern Quilt Guild Eastern Shore met on March 3rd and I am just posting the pictures from that meeting.

This is Kisha's Spider Web Quilt. Everyone was loving this one. She hand quilted it. Love it!

Laura made two quilts the same but different. This was her own design.

Carol showed some blocks for a quilt she is working on for a customer.

Andie showed a quilt that she made from a pattern and fabric she got at Quilt Vine. She also showed a pillow that she made from scraps.

Lou showed this quilt top she finished on Retreat. She was so glad to get this done. She also got all of her fabric from Quilt Vine.

 This is Bento Box. Of course I got all of my fabric at Quilt Vine. It is  made from 2-1/2" strips from the fabric line "Flea Market Fancy" by Denyse Schmidt and Kona White.

 Tyra showed a modern baby quilt she made.

Nita showed this great quilt. She did a lot of machine quilting and it shows up well on the back.

Janet showed her Gee's Bend Inspired Bag and a small quilt she made.

Jean did not bring a quilt this month but she talked about a book that she is excited about.

Sharon showed a quilt of her own design made with fabric she got a Quilt Vine.

These lucky ladies went to Quilt Con. Kisha, Jean, Nita, Laura and Elaine talked about their experience at Quilt Con.

Long Arm Quilting

I have been doing quite a bit of long arm quilting lately but have not been keeping up with the posting of the quilts. This week, however I am really booked so will not be quilting much. My hope this week though, is to catch up with the posting of my quilting. So, hopefully there will be a lot of posts this week.  Below are just the quilts that I quilted last week.
