Homecoming Dance

My daughter went to her first high school homecoming dance Saturday night.
Several of her friends were at our house getting ready.

No makeup and no heels for my girl, but at least she has a dress on.
Yes, my daughter is the one with the orange cast on her wrist.

Here she is with her BFF.

What a great bunch of high school freshmen!!!

Season Over

Lacrosse Summer Tournament Season is over for my daughter. It was fun while it lasted but I am glad we do not have to spend anymore weekends this summer at tournaments.

It was their first year together as a club team. For being their first year they did well and improved a lot over the season.

Taking a break between games.

This summer is going by very quickly and has been busy.
Think I will get any quilting done this week?

7-Sisters Swimming Party???????

Last night was the 7-Sisters annual swimming party at my house. As what has come to be expected, the one Friday night of our party is the nastiest Friday night of the summer. Last night we had a storm so the party was moved inside. This is also the time that the old officers go out and the new come in. I was the out-going president and the girls surprised me with this quilt. I absolutely love it and it goes very well with my decor.

After the rain and the storm had passed some of the girls went swimming. At least the water was still warm.

While some of the girls were swimming my daughter was entertaining the rest of us.

You have to watch this video of the song she did for Chris.

Oh, What a Beautiful Day

On Friday night I worked on the quilt on the cover of this book. Everything I am using in that quilt is from my stash. I will get a picture of it up later this week.

Yesterday my family and I spent the entire day sitting out side watching my daughter play lacrosse. It was the most beautiful Autumn day.

In this picture you can see the ball going in the goal. Yes, I actually got a picture of her scoring!

Cooking With Character

There was no school on Thursday or Friday so my daughter had 2 friends over.

They wanted to bake something and decided on snicker doodles. Then the bright idea came to do a cooking show. The name of their show is Cooking With Character. These kids are hilarious. They want me to put it on YouTube but I haven't had time yet.

I quilted this earlier in the week but I haven't posted in a while. Really, where did this week go? This is Pat's quilt. I returned it to her on Wednesday at the Bayside Quilters Guild meeting.
