Sew Scrappy Sewcial

We have so many scraps that we didn’t know what to do with  them. So, we have decided to let you come play with them. Once a quarter we will be holding a “Sew Scrappy Sewcial.” This is a Saturday where you come and sew with our scraps all day long. Each time we will feature a different scrappy project for you to work on or you can make anything you want. This is at no cost to you. Just come, bring your sewing machine, and use some of our scraps. Please let us know you are coming and we will hold you a seat.

For our first Sew Scrappy Sewcial we featured a paper foundation method. The foundation we used was a half sheet of printer paper cut vertically.

We had a great turnout. The classroom was full.
And we also had a fantastic lunch. We had homemade tomato soup, homemade Noodle Kugel, salad, guacamole, and chips. I have been promised the recipes for the soup and kugel and I will share them with you.

Vicki and Lacy got a lot done.

Debbie choosing some scraps.

Some of our scraps were already cut into strings and separated by color.

Some chose a certain colorway like the pink here that Cathy is working with.

And others were scrappy like the completed foundations below.

Our next Sew Scrappy Sewcial we be held in early Summer.
Stay tuned for more information.
