Birthday with the Fiber Art Bee

I first told you about the B-day Girlz Block Party here. My birthday is in April. Two months ago I told the girlz what I wanted for my birthday. I told them turquoise and orange circles on white. I let them pick through my turquoise and orange in case they didn't have any. I was blown away when I unwrapped my blocks. Some of the girls even made me more than one. What do you think? Aren't they fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!

Phyllis made this one with  the yummy yo-yos.

Bette sent this stunning block from Florida. She was not here to pick through my stash and her fabrics go perfectly with all of the others.

Janie made these fabulous blocks; a big one and a baby.

Margaret's blocks are absolutely awesome.

June's block is magnificent.

Sylvia got carried away and made three. I think she is as thrilled with them as I am. What else can I say but WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I have the responsibility of putting them together; I hope I can do them justice.

Birthday Fabric

I received a lot of beautiful fabric for my birthday. I don't usually get this many gifts but this year was a big one, 50! I had a fabulous party on Friday night. I will post some pictures after I get them from some friends and family members.

These fabrics came from Lou and Cheryl. They feel absolutely delicious.

This collection of Kaffes and a fun print came from Eunice. She said she just had to wrap them in the candy box.

This pack of Batiks are from Phyllis.

This bright bundle of fat quarters are from Pennie.

This adorable basket of prints are from Chris.

I did receive some gifts that were not fabric but this is my 

quilting blog.

Now my brain is turning with ideas of what to do with them. I think I would like to use one piece of each fabric to make a commemorative 50th birthday party quilt. I also had 18" x 18" squares of white Kona at the party for signatures that I will use on the back of this quilt.

Birthday Present

My birthday is coming up the end of the month. Earleen gave me this for my birthday. 

What can I say except "perfect gift."
