Give Thanks - November Monthly Mini

Today the patterns and kits are ready for our November Mini, "Give Thanks."

When I first decided on the pie for the November Mini I thought I would put on the words, "Give Thanks." 

When I am working on these patterns I usually cut the appliques out in card stock and then play with the placement. 

There was something about the words that I just did not like.

So, I decided to try the steam.

I really liked the steam. 

It needed the leaves to fill in empty space and to add more color.

And the leaves add that Fall touch, leaving no doubt that this is Thanksgiving Pie.

Even after the final paper layout, I added more steam.

Almost looks good enough to eat.
