Bayside Quilters of the Eastern Shore
Quilt Show
Oxford, MD
May31 - June 2, 2013
The Bayside Quilters 2nd Biannual Quilt Show was held this past weekend in the beautiful quaint town of Oxford, Maryland.
This year the show expanded and was not only in St. Paul's Church but also in the Oxford Community Center.
With the help of several of the husbands of members, quilts were hung from the rafters.
This really made quite a stunning display!
If you regularly follow my blog some of these quilts may be familiar to you.
I quilted 33 of them.
Don't you agree that this display is breathtaking?
For being a small guild, and only our second show, I think this show was over the top.
It proved to be quite a job dealing with the scaffolding, so they decided to use it for display instead of taking it down for a few days and having to put it back up.
This is my Joseph's Coat.
St. Paul's Church was the second site of the show.
In 2011 the entire show was held here.
This is another of my quilts. It is machine appliqued and was pictured in Baltimore's Country Cousins by Susan McKelvey, a member of our guild.
This quilt was made by 9 year old, Karli Abbot, the youngest member of our guild.
This quilt is by Gyleen Fitzgerald, our featured teacher at the show.
My daughter hanging out with the jacket I made.
If you missed this show then you missed a good one. Be sure to look for it again in 2015.
