I totally finished my April UFO Friday evening but finally got it outside today for a picture. I thought it really looked nice on the red gate.
I had gotten the top at an auction at the Bayside Quilters about 7 years ago. The border was not on but the fabric was included for the border. I put the border on 4 years ago. If it were not for the UFO Challenge, who knows when I would have finished it. I am not sure how old it is. The fabric was only 35 inches wide.
While I was outside with my camera in hand I could not resist taking a shot of these flowers.
Under this shade tree looks like a nice place to relax and read a book.
What a beautiful quilt! Aren't you glad you finished it? If you show a closeup of the fabric, someone out here will probably give you an estimate of how old it is.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt looks especially beautiful on the red fence. And I'm feeling envious of the green grass!
ReplyDeleteBefore you said it, I was thinking that your quilt under that tree looks like a great spot to have a picnic! It's beautiful and one of these days I'm going to make a red and white quilt myself...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quilt! And I'm jealous of your beautiful picture-taking spot! Love the fence.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place to read a book and enjoy a pleasant day outside! Congrats on your lovely finish!
ReplyDeleteI just love two color quilts - wonderful finish and beautiful spot of photographing. Judy C
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt especially under the tree. I haven't seen 35" fabric in tons of years-maybe since the early 70's????
