Round Robin Quilted

Last year I participated in a Round Robin Bee that I posted about here and here. This is my quilt from that bee.

I made the center block and it got passed around and someone different added each round.

I just finished quilting it yesterday.

It is my UFO for March. Yes, I know it is almost the end of April. I am hoping to catch up, but actually I am behind on customer quilts because I have something else in the works.

I need to get the binding on and I will probably put on a sleeve for hanging.

You never know what you will get in the end in a round robin but I am very happy with it!

7-Sisters Swap

Back in the Spring of 2011 nine of the 7-Sisters participated in a fabric swap. We were supposed to have them finished for our quarterly meeting last night. Most of them are done.

Margaret made a 9-patch. The center block is made from 9-patch blocks from everyone's fabric. The other large blocks has one of Margaret's  9-patch in the center with the fabric of a particular participant surrounding hers. My fabrics are in the top center block; the oranges.

Earleen used the twister ruler. It looks great but she was a little disappointed at how small it got.

Wow! Look at Lou's quilt. I believe she added some blues.

Polly had misplaced her fabrics. She just found them this week . Boy, she really has her work cut out for her.

The black really sets off the fabrics in Chris' quilt. She does not have it quilted yet and I think she intends to add a border.

I finished mine in September 2011.

Cheryl's is stunning! Cheryl has a long-arm and has been doing a very special job on this quilt. She had to take it off of the long-arm to bring it to show.

Just look it this border that she has done!

Earleen finished this top last night. LOVE IT!

Linda's Wedding Quilt

I know you think you have seen this quilt before but it is a different one.

I honestly don't even know how many of them I have done for Colette.

Well, Colette has taught this quilt in a workshop. Everyone seems to love the way I have quilted it so they are bringing them to me. This one is Linda's.

The center really is not demanding of a custom treatment so a pantogram is done there, and then the borders are custom quilted with feathers.

Bette's Birthday Blocks

Yesterday I posted about the B-day Girlz Block Party. Bette also has a birthday in April and these are the blocks that she will receive.

She asked for blocks that are pink, green, brown, and white and maybe with a rabbit.

The girls participating in this group are very talented

and creative!

Bette is still in Florida for the winter so she will be receiving these in the mail shortly.

Don't you think they are all so cute?

Birthday with the Fiber Art Bee

I first told you about the B-day Girlz Block Party here. My birthday is in April. Two months ago I told the girlz what I wanted for my birthday. I told them turquoise and orange circles on white. I let them pick through my turquoise and orange in case they didn't have any. I was blown away when I unwrapped my blocks. Some of the girls even made me more than one. What do you think? Aren't they fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!

Phyllis made this one with  the yummy yo-yos.

Bette sent this stunning block from Florida. She was not here to pick through my stash and her fabrics go perfectly with all of the others.

Janie made these fabulous blocks; a big one and a baby.

Margaret's blocks are absolutely awesome.

June's block is magnificent.

Sylvia got carried away and made three. I think she is as thrilled with them as I am. What else can I say but WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I have the responsibility of putting them together; I hope I can do them justice.

Rhapsody Bee

Yesterday, our Rhapsody Bee met for the second time. First we watched some of the video and then we enlarged our pattern.

We invaded Margaret's house. Here is Margaret working on her pattern.

Janie was really getting down on her pattern.

This is my pattern enlarged.

This is my small pattern. That is what the background of my quilt should look like. Most of us are doing our quilts so they will be about 60" square when finished.

I don't know why, but all of my pictures of Fran were blurry.

Sylvia working on her pattern.

The pool table was a great space for Margie to enlarge her pattern.

Rose was not with us last month so she is working on her small design.

Next month we will start working with fabric. I can't wait!

Stash Report - Week 16, 2012

I am still doing pretty good on my stash busting. This week I only purchased 1 1/2 yards of a beautiful Valorie Wells large print. I used up 3 1/2 yards. 1 1/2 yards was used on my challenge quilt for Bayside Quilters so I can not show you a picture yet. I used 2 1/4  yards (the Amy Butler prints I bought last week) on an Amy Butler pattern of a large pillow. I did not yet take a picture because I did not get it finished. The reason it is not finished is because I ran out of poly-fil. I got more at Wal Mart today.

Maybe I will finish it later after the Penguin's game. It was a marathon first period because of all of the fights. We recorded it because we were at Wal Mart when it started. My daughter just said she is glad she has it recorded because if she is not feeling well some day she can turn this on and watch the fights and it will cheer her up. She is a true hockey fan!

Used this Week: 3 1/2 yard
Used year to Date: 55 3/4 yards
Added this Week: 1 1/2 yards
Added Year to Date: 24 1/2 yards

Net Used for 2012: 31 1/4 yards

You can go to Patchwork Times to see more stash reports.

Lightning Class

I made this cute little quilt in August 2011 during Hurricane Irene.

Then I made 2 like this in December 2012; one for a gift and one for me. It is super simple.

On Wednesday afternoon after the Bayside Quilters meeting I taught this workshop.

For just an afternoon class the girls did get a lot done.

Each one is so different and so beautiful!

I really do enjoy teaching quilting classes.
